busiMOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin asked Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov to present proposals on the possibility of converting industrial enterprises into those for the production of medical devices to fight the coronavirus.

“I requested you to present the broadest proposals for all these positions, keeping in mind the available reserves. There are enough enterprises, particularly in regions, which can be converted and this can be done rather quickly,” Putin said.

The head of state also commented on Manturov’s words that all the non-woven materials produced in Russia are planned for allocation to companies making medical masks and protection suits, even “to the prejudice of other economic sectors.”

“You said that you are ready to give these materials for medical purposes to the prejudice of other economic sectors. There is nothing more important for us in this case than life of people, so let us maintain such an attitude to the issue,” Putin noted.
